Man United bounce back in style

Manchester United gave an empthatic display of 5 goals in the second half as they ran away 5-0 winners at the DW Stadium.

Wigan have never taken a point off of the champions and despite Ronaldo being sold they didn’t get any today.

Much has been made of Ronaldo’s sale and that it will mean Rooney will score a lot more goals, he proved that today with a brace. The first one of his brace was his 100th for Manchester United.

The first half was Manchester United’s season so far summed up, chances after chances wasted. They were saved by England goalkeeper Ben Foster a couple of times too.

After the break United transformed, Rooney scoring his first and shortly after Berbatov finished cooly to make it two. Rooney scored another as his shot was deflected off Melchiot.

Nani then fed Michael Owen for his first competitive goal in United colours before Nani wrapped it up late with a lovely free kick in to the corner.

A performance like this was just what Manchester United needed after losing against Burnley in midweek.

United’s next match is against current leaders and in form Arsenal who have scored 10 goals in two premier league matches so far.

Yes, a very nice Utd win. The writing was on the wall they’d strike back after the midweek defeat against Bunrley and strike back they did.

Good to see Rooney get past the 100 goal mark for utd and Owen getting back to scoring ways.
